We are so so so so so so so SO happy to finally be able to announce that we have launched our Wedding Tea Towel in the USA exclusively through Peter Loves Jane! And I really think you're gonna love 'em!
We have an amazingly lovely and helpful partner, Nikkol, totally based in America who will handle everything for you so if you'd like more information, a quote or a sample then get in touch on email@example.com
Or if you are so knocked over by how exciting this is that you just have to order some RIGHT NOW then head on straight over to the Etsy shop and get going so you are one of the very first US couples to send out our classic tea towels as your wedding save the dates, invitations or favours! Believe me when I tell you, your guests will love them! Ours did!
Just think about it, why bother spending the money on something that is going to get thrown away! Spend it on something your guests can keep and show off forever!
If you're not sure if wedding tea towels are right for you then just take a look at our customer comments on our website, here, and I think that should help you to do the trick.
So... I guess all that is left for me to say is a massive hello to... erm... the whole of America. Let's do this!
Pardon? How many new designs do we have, you asked? Just one... oooooh no, oh no no no no - not just one actually but TWO!
Take a lookie.
First we have... 'English Tea Party'. Just perfect for your lovely tea party wedding. Just picture it, you're sitting with your friends on a blanket, in the sunshine, sipping tea, eating cakes, laughing and just generally having a jolly good time old chaps.
And even if it's not sunny. You cares. You can all put your tea towels over your heads for protection from the rain.
An old post but still, I'm pretty sure, just as interesting as the day I first posted it so... if you've not seen it before then take another look.
Have you ever stopped, right there in your tracks, and just thought to yourself 'blimey, I wonder how those amazing guys at TOWTT, turn their tea towel designs in to actual tea towels'. YES, YOU HAVE? Then wonder no more, all is about to be revealed...
First, we have to use our artwork to make a screen (they are screen printed after all). The screen looks like this:
Then, the screen is popped in to this machine, where the colour is added, in this example, red. The colours are all mixed by hand to make sure we get the exact shade that we are looking for.
Once the colour is added, it covers the whole screen and then it imprints on to the tea towel (you can't see it but there is a lovely new unprinted tea towel sitting right under that screen).
And there it is. It comes off the printer and goes in to the dryer.
Then we all stand back and admire our handy work.
And that is how you make an Original Wedding Tea Towel! Don't try it at home kids.
Imagine this... you're trawling the Internet through hundreds of thousands of boring, see it all before invitations, save the dates or favours, and then you come across possibly probably the most amazing things you've seen so far in your wedding search - ORIGINAL WEDDING TEA TOWEL! That's us (hi x)
And now you're thinking to yourself, gosh I really love their, say, Young Heart design but I wish I could say something different on there, include a picture of our pet pooch Bumfluffywuffy or add our own venue to make it that bit more personal. Oh well, they obviously can't help with that so I guess I'll carry on looking at more yawnfest ideas until I work out what I am going to do...
Well HOLD IT RIGHT THERE OUR WEDDINGY FRIENDS! We can totally help. If you love one of our designs but have your own idea then that is totally fine. Check out this example above. It was simply a change of wording at the brides request and was no problem for us!
Included so many of your own venues that we must have nearly every wedding place on file (don't ask me though as I will never be able to find them again!)
Added your children to be with the couples or playing on the hills
Included hobbies like walking, cycling, music or skiing
Added your furry friends from tiny birds to massive horses
Changed countless lady birds to butterflys / horse shoes / flowers
Changed hearts to moons or birds to ducks
Erased hot air balloons from the horizon with just one click
And many, many more
... I think you get the point. Every single design is created totally for you so we can do whatever you want. And if one more person tells me I don't charge enough for these personal adaptations then I am putting the price for each change up to £1mil so don't say it (although you can really if you like because it makes me feel good!).
So there it is, talk to me. I'm Karen - firstname.lastname@example.org - or check out our gallery here:
Ahhhh Love Birds... one of our early classic designs. One of our most popular and most importantly, most loved. We love it. You love it. And now, 2012 is going to love it as well!
Three years ago we started off the Original Wedding Tea Towel with the whale and Classic Heart and soon after, we introduced the Love Birds. And now we've decided she's worked hard for us and it's time we gave her a little TLC.
So, we've sent her to the spa for the day and spruced those feathers right up. She's had a facelift and we think she looks mighty fine!
If you'd like a closer look at this or any of our other designs then take a look in our gallery here. Or if you want to discuss your own Wedding Tea Towels then email me on email@example.com
Later kissy love birds (that's you lot by the way)
PS Is it weird that I talk about our wedding tea towels like they are actual living beings?
You've found your 'Daisy', they've said I do and now you need a super cool invitation to match your super cool, mega romantic wedding day. Well ride off in to the sunset with this little number hung up in the kitchen of all your friends and family.
Our latest brand new design - Bicycle Made for Two - is added to our Classic collection at just £50 for artwork. If you'd like a full quote then just drop me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and if you'd like to see our full design range then visit our gallery here.
Now, on yer bike (BOOM BOOM!), it's Friday night for goodness sake, haven't you got anything better to do? Nah, me either!
Yep, that's right folks. First comes love and then comes... babies! Screaming, poo'ing, cheeky monkey babies! And what better way to announce your new arrival to the world than with a our brand new baby tea towels.
We'll pop their little chubby chops on there and you can give us all the other details you want to tell your friends and family.
And just imagine if you hold on to one, in 18 years time, presenting them with their own tea towel that you had printed when they were brand new. I think that would be a pretty extraordinary moment!
Of course, like some other mums already have, you are welcome to use one of our classic wedding designs to announce your little one but if you want something to show the world how proud you are of your little bundle then this tea towel is 'almost' as special as the little arrivals themselves!
You can take a look at our full design gallery here. And if you'd like a quote or any more information then you can email me on email@example.com
I am just going to be totally honest with you right here, right now - we've had utterly astounding hits on our website this week and for a while, we just couldn't work out why... and then we figured it out and found this AMAZING You Tube video from BrideDeForce - a brilliant blog and You Tube channel by sisters Hannah and Fleur. The video has already had over 50,000 views and over 1,200 likes so that is pretty darn impressive.
Fleur is getting married and has been searching for the best save the date ideas and so far, ours are her faves! What an excellent choice!
If you have been wondering what the tea towels look like in real life then take a look here and if you would like any more information on using our Wedding Tea Towels for your save the dates, invitations or favours then drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our gallery here.
And if you'd like more ideas and inspiration for your own wedding then I'd strongly recommend you get yourself over to their blog or You Tube. Who knows what you might find!
Right. Firstly, Ben told me off for initially not putting a picture on this post so I explained I couldn't think of one that I thought was suitable and then BAM, I stumbled across this snap in my phone and so, here it is. Look how happy Ben's little chops look. I think he'd had a hair cut that day. Anyway...
Down to business...
It's come to that time again when I've been gathering together all our customer feedback so Ben and I can work out whether we need to spend the next 30 mins walking around in a circle smacking each others bottoms or patting each other on the back.
So, let's see...
Question to our beautiful couples: Overall, how happy were you with the service you received?
Answer: 95% were VERY happy. Oh boy, what about the other 5%.... S'OK everybody they were still mega happy just not quite so enthusiastically over the moon as the others.
RESULT - Pat on the back (phew)
Question: How happy were you with your finished tea towels?
Answer: 93% thought they were pretty much all they could ask for and gave them a whopping 5 out of 5 'amazing' score. And the other 7% thought they were just everso slightly less than the best thing they've ever seen in their whole entire lives.
RESULT - Pat on the back (defo)
Question: How did the tea towel cost compare to the other stationery options you considered?
Answer: Over half of our budget savvy couples said that Original Wedding Tea Towels were either About the same price, Competitive or Very Competitive. So that's all good. Very good. And a load of the rest who answered didn't even look at any other options. They just saw our designs, loved 'em and knew they had to have them. Simple as that!
Even those who thought they worked out slightly more than their paper options didn't mind once they had them in their hands saying:
Although slightly more expensive, worth every penny for such a unique invitation.
Slightly more than the paper stationery we looked at but a fantastic idea and definitely worth the little bit extra.
RESULT - Pat on the back
So in summary, everything seems to be in order. Back pats all round!
If you still need convincing that we are totally the right option and completely bad ass at this then have a look at what more of our happy couple say here.
And if you'd like any more information on our tea towels then email me on email@example.com or visit our gallery here.
Congratulations to the following two hard working, dedicated, and above all excellent value for money Wedding Tea Towel employees.
GIVE IT UP EVERYBODY! *clap clap clap*
For exemplary services to wrapping, posting and despatching tea towel samples - Mary Brown (a.k.a Ben's mummy).
Every time a sample is requested, Mary stops dancing, comes off the beach, brushes her hair down and struts over to her design coded and then colour coded cupboard and pops that bad boy out in the post to you. No fuss, no messin'.
For relentless childcare, child feeding and child entertainment services - Linda Wilson (a.k.a my mummy)
If there is finance work to be done, invoices to be raised or general admin to catch up on (yawn, yawn and yawn), Linda clambers down off of my Dads knee, opens up her house, FORCES me to sit down at the table (in silence) until it's done, all the while she is keeping the two coolest dudes in the whole world occupied.
So thank you to Linda and Mary for their hard work and I hope this blog goes some way towards telling you how grateful I am for your help and also as an official promise that one day you might get paid*
See.. here I am on the radio. Just like I said! BBC 3 counties radio kindly invited me on to the Nick Coffer show in the afternoons to talk about our tea towels, how we started the business, being a mummy and... erm... sheds. Oh sorry, I mean home offices (if you were listening you'd understand - boom! Bet your gutted if you missed it now).
I was mega mega mega nervous as I think you can tell from my startled face here. It went pretty darn well though.
If you'd like to speak to us about your wedding invitations, favours or thank yous then email me on firstname.lastname@example.org or click here to take a look at our site!
And remember, listen out for me on the airwaves... I could appear any time!
We both knew they were super cool within about 3 seconds. We had chosen the designs within about 7.
They arrived just before Christmas and we spent most of Wednesday evening with a Bridesmaid, folding, punching, tying ribbons and packaging up the precious little cotton beauties.
And they are RECESSION FRIENDLY. All in all, they come in at well under the cost for anything like a professionally printed paper invitation and are a million times nicer, more unique, personal and environmentally friendly. Also, we will now not be doing ‘favours’ at the wedding – so it really does kill two birds with one very economical stone."
In the excitement of launching Up and Away we forgot to say that we can change the little characters on the design to look like you and your partner and it costs you nothing, we do it cause we love you.
We've just one one with a little baby that's as dangerous as it's massively cute.
SO here it is... the latest addition to our Classic range - Up and Away. Hope you like it. We sure do!
We now have 18 designs to choose from and 13 colour options. To see our full gallery of designs and our colour palette then click here. Perhaps when we get to 20 designs we can all have a party.
And remember - if you have a design idea you'd like to see included in our classic range or if you are a designer and you'd like to create something for our boutique range then just get in touch with me at email@example.com.
The time has come everyone... although I'm sure for you, it's not really THAT exciting but anyway... it's time for us to go slightly quieter for a little while now whilst we pop away to have our baby. We are still around though so if you need to get in touch with us or need more information then your best bets are to follow these links:

Hope to hear from you soon. And don't think we've gone away forever - you can't get rid of us that easily you know - especially now I am a radio celebrity (ahem).
I TOTALLY DID MY FIRST RADIO INTERVIEW YESTERDAY! On BBC 3 Counties Radio - they picked up the story from the Mail Online and wanted to chat to me about how we came up with the idea and our tea towels in general.
I was mega mega mega nervous but I think it went well. My Nan said I did brilliantly and 'spoke lovely' so I must have been OK!
A little disappointed that the whole thing ended on me saying these words... 'I'm all about the drugs'... but I'm blaming the pressure of being in the spotlight.*
If you feel so inclined you can listen to the interview here - on BBC iPlayer - I am on at about 1.50 mins in to the show.
See you later listeners (couldn't decide if it was too much to call you listeners after being on the radio for a mere 2-3 mins but decided I'd go with it anyway).
Oh and if you'd like your own wedding tea towels then take a look here to see all our designs or fill out our online sample / quote / order form here.
*I was talking about labour pain relief at the time.
So I'm just minding my own business counting down the minutes (OK, seconds and milli seconds) until our new baby finally leaves my body when I get an enquiry saying they have heard about us through the Daily Mail...
I've done some digging and we are SO on the Mail Online.
So, the arrival of our new baby is pretty much... well... happening really really soon. We are still here though and still taking orders so do get in touch. We've updated our website with a sample and order request form which we'll be checking regularly throughout the next few months. Hopefully all the info you'll need will be either on the website or in the form but if not, email us and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
PS This is NOT me in the picture. I'm not just saying that. It's really not me. Honest. Now I've gone on about it so long you probably think that it is definitely me. I do wish I knew where to get one of these tops though.
